1998 Moto Guzzi EV 1100

Hope you enjoy the EV Info.

Updated features:
Large Halogen Headlight (EV's came with a Puny little headlight and since I had to replace this one I put in a Big chromed Automobile headlight light housing and spent big bucks on the new super intensity "blue light" Halogen bulb.), Throttle mount Cruise Control, Small Blue tint Windshield, Handlebar Setbacks, HiWay Pegs, New Honda GL 1200 Battery with "Computer Brain Box" side by side to allow for a much Lower Seating position if desired.  (I have had 2 people '5 6" height sit on the bike with feet Flat on the ground.  This was with my hand crafted seat which rested on the frame rails.  Any seat maker could now adjust seating position for a person of this height. ), Exhaust "H" straight through Crossover for smoother exhaust flow and a bit more Horse Power,  and Drilled Mufflers which added a little more Horse Power and the sound, man, the sound this machine makes when getting on the throttle is just Awesome .  The sound alone rumbles through your body and creates a powerful feel and sound like no other.  The theme is "Cool Blue" from the fenders, HiWay pegs, Gunslinger windshield and "Blue Light" Halogen bulb.  "Cool Blue" tones color scheme, several upgrades.  Great ride, Low mileage, runs better than new.   I bought this bike for several reasons.  First of all I knew that while rebuilding my Ambassador I would be without a bike for many months - so my first reason was to have a bike to ride while rebuilding the other. Secondly since this bike was wrecked I was also very excited about the low PRICE and the opportunity to tinker on a new style Guzzi. Lastly, buying a different style Moto Guzzi to ride for awhile and sell within a year is something I am prone to do when financially able - or instead of the Stinky Stock market of the early 2K years.  This gives me an opportunity to get to know the type of bike and if I get a good deal, I get my money back when I sell it .   I've sold this bike to a fella from Norway.  Egil will be arriving in July of 2001 with a buddy.  Together they will ride around the US for 3 months then head home.  Egil intends on shipping the TwistedSister home with him.  I hope they have a Great Vacation.  Look for Egil at this years MGNOC Rally.

I'll tell you , I originally purchased this bike with a wrecked front end.   All damage has been repaired or replaced and includes many improvements along the way.  It was a fun and interesting project.  For a Blow by Blow run down on the repair history see my web pages dedicated to this EV  whimsically called the "TwistedSister". I saved a few bucks and am passing that savings on to the next owner.

With exception to the few miles on the odometer, this bike is in great condition.   I spent many hours handcrafting a seat for this bike.  Although I am very proud of my custom seat (it does ride very well thank you), - I am reminded how pitifully ugly it is, because I don't know how to do the covering very well.  So, I am selling this bike with the Original OEM seat, which is in perfect condition.  The "TwistedSister"  Web site will show you some great close-up pictures of some special features I am sure you will enjoy.

This is the most well balanced BIG Moto Guzzi I have ever ridden.
Take a ride on any EV and I'm sure you'll agree with me.

Another great shot from the saddle.

Nice view from the front. Shows off the Gunslinger Windshield.  (I'm 6' 1" and the wind hits the top 1/3 of my helmet allowing those helmet vents to work, windshield is just big enough to punch a nice hole in the windstream for you to slip through. No buffeting - just right),
Note the LARGE Halogen headlight.  I used the new fancy "Blue light" Halogens for the Euro look.  I also have the original LARGE barn door windshield but, it is not in the best of shape.

This is another front end shot, but from a different angle.  Good perspective of the smooth lines on the EV.  Note: the Blue ribbed HiWay pegs that fold up when ever you like.

ev-bell.jpg (68823 bytes)This was an important picture for me, being concerned about front end damage.  BUT, there is NO front end damage. All damage has been repaired or replaced with new parts. The Frame was examined & tested repaired by a professional Frame repair shop.
(See detailed frame info at "TwistedSister" )

I was going to be riding this puppy and wanted it fixed "better than new".  I knew what to look for from paying attention to the postings from other EV owners on the Moto Guzzi Correspondence list.  I could not be more pleased with the outcome. Hence, I have attached one of the finest "Karma" bells I could find, had the bike blessed by the local Guzzi Reverend and I have been enjoying the ride ever since.

Close up Dash shot, too bright though, sorry.

Here is a reversal shot looking at it from the rear view.  Again this shows off the great sleekness of the overall design.

Well, that is about it.  I truly love this bike and hated to sell it.  However, my reality is one of too many projects demanding my attention, too many toys, and not enough time to do everything.  I have enjoyed the project immensely and have added about 7,000 miles of Fun riding on the odometer myself.  I've done what I set out to do and enjoyed it all.  Now it is time to move on.  We are building a house and my wife reminds me that my plan always was to sell one of my 2 Guzzi's.

Got a Comment or question E-Me.   I hope you find the Ride of your life.  Roy Harvey
